Move faster on routine legal work without giving up judgment.

Lawyers do not need AI hype. You need a safer way to get through the work that already consumes the week: research notes, client summaries, matter updates, internal drafts, contract review, intake notes, issue lists, and the endless first-pass writing that has to be clear before it can become useful.

Built for ยท attorneys, partners, and in-house counsel

Claude can organize notes. It can summarize facts. It can compare provisions. It can draft the first version of a client email, matter recap, research outline, or internal memo. But it does not practice law. You do. Every workflow in this course is built around that line.

The tool drafts, organizes, summarizes, compares, and pressure-tests. The lawyer verifies, edits, decides, escalates, and owns the work. That is not a disclaimer โ€” it is the operating model.

Listen: 5-Minute Overview of The Leveraged Attorney

A spoken walkthrough of the course โ€” the modules, what you build, and who it is for. Three minutes of listening before you decide is time well spent.

Read the transcript

This is a five-minute overview of The Leveraged Attorney, a course in The Leverage Years catalog. It is designed for licensed attorneys in U.S. jurisdictions who want to use Claude AI as a practical, disciplined part of how they work โ€” not as an experiment, and not as a replacement for legal judgment.

What the course is

The Leveraged Attorney is a structured workflow course built around Claude. It has 74 lessons organized into nine applied modules, an Intro module, a choice module, a nine-lesson Prompt Vault, a Capstone, and a bonus section covering the current legal AI market. When you finish, you leave with a working, 17-section SOP Binder customized for your practice. Not notes. A system.

The course costs $395 at founding access. The mature price will be $795.

Who it is for

This course is for practicing attorneys admitted in at least one U.S. jurisdiction who are handling real matters now and want a repeatable, defensible way to work with AI.

If you have tried Claude on one or two tasks and found the results inconsistent, the problem is almost certainly not the tool โ€” it is the absence of a protocol. This course gives you the protocol.

If you have not used Claude at all yet, that is fine. The Intro module covers setup in roughly 15 minutes, and the first applied modules are designed to produce something useful on a real matter within your first week.

The foundation first

Before you apply Claude to client work, you move through two foundational modules.

Module 1 โ€” The Legal AI Clean Room. This covers what data leaks, when, and to whom. You build a matter isolation workflow using Claude's Projects feature, learn the Red / Yellow / Green data classification protocol โ€” which information is safe to use as-is, which needs sanitization, and which should not go into an AI tool at all โ€” and you establish a Pre-Session Protocol you run before every AI-assisted work session.

Module 2 โ€” Confidentiality and Redaction. You learn a practical substitution system for removing identifying information from documents before they are used as AI inputs, along with a response protocol for the cases where something slips.

After Modules 1 and 2, there is a Foundation Gate: five short acknowledgement statements covering Clean Room use, redaction, attorney responsibility, citation verification, and policy compliance. This is not gatekeeping. It is professional discipline โ€” the same sequencing a responsible firm would require before deploying any new system on client matters.

The applied modules

Module 3 โ€” Contract Review. You build the Review Associate Framework: how to structure documents for AI input, run clause-by-clause interrogation, use the Red Flag Prompt Library to surface risk, and produce a reusable Contract Review Template.

Module 4 โ€” Research Organization. Raw notes become structured memos. The module covers multi-authority synthesis, a strict citation-every-time standard, and jurisdiction-specific research frameworks. Lesson 4.6 covers organizing a research drop inside Claude's Cowork environment when you are working across multiple sources at once.

Module 5 โ€” Drafting Support. You use Claude to generate motion first drafts, produce specific brief sections, stress-test your argument from the opposing side, calibrate tone and voice for different courts and contexts, and run a Pre-Filing Protocol before anything goes out.

Module 6 โ€” Opposing Counsel Simulator. You set up a configured opposing counsel persona and use it to find holes in your argument before opposing counsel does. The module includes workflows for deposition preparation in 30 minutes, cross-examination preparation, and motion opposition analysis.

Module 7 โ€” Client Intake and Triage. You build a matter classification system, generate customized intake questionnaires, draft engagement letter outlines, and create client communication templates.

Module 8 โ€” Verification and Supervision. This module covers the four specific patterns where Claude produces errors that affect attorneys โ€” and how to catch each one. You build a Citation Verification Workflow, complete a 10-Point Supervision Checklist, and design your own QC protocol. There is also a lesson on billing for AI-assisted time.

Module 9 โ€” The Prompt Vault. Forty-plus production-ready prompts organized by workflow: contract review, research, drafting, adversarial preparation, and intake. The vault is designed to be built out and maintained over time โ€” including a lesson on how to identify and correct prompt drift as your practice evolves.

What you leave with

The Capstone is a 17-section Digital Associate SOP Binder assembled across the course. It is not a summary of what you learned. It is a working operational document you use in practice. You also receive full access to the Prompt Vault, a 2026 Legal AI Market Update covering where Claude fits alongside other tools in the legal market, and an audio companion version of the course.

Common questions

Do I need to know anything about AI before I start? No. The Intro module covers what Claude is, how it works, and how to set it up in about 15 minutes.

Is this safe to use on real matters? The course is built specifically around that question. The Clean Room, the redaction system, the Foundation Gate, and the verification modules exist because the answer depends on what you put in, what jurisdiction you are in, and what your firm and client agreements allow. This course walks through all of it.

The outcome

You use Claude with a repeatable system. You are not improvising prompts. You are not hoping the output is accurate without checking. You have a protocol for data, for drafting, for review, and for verification โ€” and you have documented it in a binder you can hand to a colleague or use as the foundation of a firm-wide standard.

That is what the course is designed to produce.

The Leveraged Attorney. For licensed attorneys ready to work with AI carefully, practically, and at the level their clients deserve.

Built to align with
ABA Formal Opinion 512 ยท Model Rules 1.6 & 5.3 ยท State Bar professional responsibility guidance.
This is not legal advice and not CLE. It is a workflow course built with a strict professional review layer.
00What about my Bar compliance?

The first two modules are the Clean Room.

Before any client-facing workflow, this course installs a strict, non-PII working environment: what never goes into Claude, what gets sanitized, how to structure a session, and how to review output before it leaves your desk.

If it saves you one billable hour on contract triage this year, it has paid for itself. It is designed to save you ten hours a week.

  • Never-upload list (client files, privileged docs, MNPI)
  • The PII sanitization decision tree
  • The Pre-Session Compliance Checklist
  • The 15-Minute Senior Review Protocol
  • A written operating standard your firm can defend
01The problem

You do not need more information. You need a repeatable way to use it.

The work that quietly eats your week.

Most attorneys and legal professionals are not behind because they lack intelligence. They are behind because every new tool feels like another thing to manage.

This course gives you a simpler way to use Claude, without turning yourself into a technical person.

  • Too much time spent on routine work
  • Too many messy inputs, never the same twice
  • Too much rewriting, organizing, and explaining
  • Too little time left for the work that actually matters
  • No clear way to use AI without feeling overwhelmed
02The promise

What the next ninety days can actually look like.

Before this course

Most weeks now

  • You write the same kind of email three different ways
  • You rewrite junior drafts past midnight
  • You explain the same ideas to clients in slightly worse versions
  • You experiment with AI tools and never go back to them
  • You finish the week behind on the work that matters
After this course

Most weeks after this.

  • Speed up routine drafts, summaries, and revisions
  • Organize research and client notes into something usable
  • Prepare stronger client-facing materials in less time
  • Have a clear rule for what AI does and what you keep on your desk
03Who this is for

This course is for you if any of these sound like your week.

01

You practice law and want practical help, not legal-tech theatre

02

You want faster, cleaner first drafts you can actually trust

03

You care about confidentiality and judgment as much as speed

+ what it is not

If you want shortcuts that remove human review, this is not it.

Every workflow assumes a professional review layer. Judgment stays with you.

04What you can achieve

By the end of this course, you can.

01.

Speed up routine drafts, summaries, and revisions

02.

Organize research and client notes into something usable

03.

Prepare stronger client-facing materials in less time

04.

Have a clear rule for what AI does and what you keep on your desk

Sample prompt ยท matter recap

Here are my intake notes from a new matter (PII redacted). Reorganize into: facts as stated, key dates, parties and roles, open questions for the client, and the issues I should pressure-test before drafting. No legal conclusions. Flag anything you're inferring versus what's actually in the notes.

Sample checklist ยท confidentiality boundary
  1. 01. Have client names, identifiers, and matter numbers been stripped or masked?
  2. 02. Are privileged documents and work product excluded from this session?
  3. 03. Is any material non-public information (MNPI) absent from the input?
  4. 04. Have you confirmed the session does not retain content beyond your control?
  5. 05. Would you defend this exact upload in front of the Bar, today?
Practical use ยท one Tuesday

Tuesday, 9am: forty minutes of intake notes and a blinking cursor. By 9:18am, you have a clean matter recap with open items, owners, and next steps โ€” for your review.

11Before / After

What changes on a normal Tuesday.

Same matter, same client, same standard of care. The difference is the first hour.

Before

The way the matter moves now

  • Forty minutes of intake notes and a blinking cursor
  • A client update you've rewritten three times this week
  • Research notes you can't quite turn into a memo
  • A junior associate's draft waiting for your red pen tonight
After

The way it can move instead.

  • A defensible client update draft with open items, owners, and next steps โ€” for your review
  • A research note organized and pressure-tested โ€” for your review
  • A clean first-draft memo with open questions surfaced โ€” for your review
  • An associate's draft red-teamed before you read it โ€” for your review
12How Claude fits into your work

Three modes. Used differently.

There isn't one way to use Claude โ€” there are three. The course teaches when to use each, and when not to.

Mode ยท 01

Claude Chat

Thinking, drafting, summarizing, and improving day-to-day work.

Example: drafting a client-facing update for a routine matter milestone.

Mode ยท 02

Claude Cowork

Ongoing work that benefits from context, continuity, and repeated collaboration.

Example: your matter folder, your firm's tone guide, your style preferences โ€” kept consistent across weeks.

Mode ยท 03

Claude Code

Structured projects: complex file structures, organizing large sets of documents, and simple private internal dashboards.

Example: organizing 500 PDFs from a matter into one clean, searchable archive.

The Leverage Years teaches when to use each, and when not to.

Plan requirements are shown in the enrollment block below.

13Professional boundaries

Claude shouldn't replace your judgment. It should remove the first-pass burden so your judgment has more room to matter.

Confidentiality

The Never Upload List is enforced from the first lesson. Client information, matter numbers, privileged documents, and MNPI stay off Claude.

Professional judgment

You decide, every time. Claude drafts, organizes, and pressure-tests. The judgment is yours and stays yours.

Review obligations

Every workflow ends at a senior review gate โ€” the 15-minute checklist before anything leaves your desk.

Firm policy

A policy template is included so you can hand a written standard to your firm, your partners, or your in-house counsel team.

Client trust

There's no shortcut around it. Speed never substitutes for the duty of care a client buys when they hire you.

Sensitive information

The sanitization rules give you a plain-English Red / Yellow / Green model โ€” what to remove, what to mask, what's safe.

Regulatory alignment

Built to align with ABA Formal Opinion 512, Model Rules 1.6 & 5.3, and State Bar professional responsibility guidance.

Detailed alignment language appears in the institutional badging at the top of this page.

Human review is required before anything leaves your desk. That's the rule from day one โ€” and the rule on day three hundred.

14Frequently asked

Common questions.

Do I need any AI experience?
No prior AI experience required. This assumes deep professional expertise and your first real working session with Claude.
How long does it take?
Get your first win in week one. The full library—15 modules—is yours for life.
Is this practical or theoretical?
Practical. Every lesson ends with a copy-paste prompt, a real example, and a checklist. No "future of work" talks.
Will this work for my profession?
Yes. Attorneys and legal professionals are the audience this was built around. The workflows match the actual deliverables you produce most weeks.
What if I get stuck?
Every course buyer gets The Leverage Club included, there is one room inside for asking working questions, plus a written Vault. You will not be alone in a forum with strangers.
Is it safe to use at work?
The course includes a clear policy template, the Never Upload List, sanitization rules, and the 15-Minute Senior Review Protocol. You leave with rules you can defend in an internal meeting.
How is this different from other AI courses?
Most AI courses teach you to experiment. This course teaches you to apply. You will not finish with 200 prompts you forget. You will finish with one operating system you actually run.
Can my firm buy several seats?
Yes. For 5+ seats we offer firm pricing. For a true company-wide implementation, see the Enterprise tier โ€” entry engagement is a $7,500 AI Briefing; extended engagements are scope-priced.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. None of the work in this course requires coding. Claude Code is a supervised execution mode: you describe what you want, Claude writes and runs it under your review, and you decide what gets used. You are not writing code. You are deciding what should be built โ€” the same judgment you already apply to every professional decision. If you can write a clear brief for a junior associate, you can use Claude Code.
